Issued by the Post Office, designed by Sutherland Hawes & Associates, bearing 5 stamps illustrating the Liverpool & Manchester Railway designed by David Gentleman and printed by Harrison & Sons (High Wycombe). Also bears special Rocket 150 55p stamp and 3 cachet marks to indicate carriage on the special train.

[Chiefly comprises lithograph diagrams (44 leaves) with ms. diagrams and tipped-in ms. and copy diagrams added (18 leaves). The volume is MS 2052/1; /2 to /7 (11 items) are letters and other diagrams, all loose leaves found within the volume. It was sent by the GPO to James Graves, superintendent of the Anglo-American Telegraph Company at Valentia Island, co. Kerry, Ireland from 1865 to 1910. The tipped-in and loose items date from 1880 to 1902]
